The Heart of the Horse Trainers Challenge is an independent nonprofit organization originally founded by Mississippi Horses. Today, it brings together rescue organizations, approved HoH farms, trainers and horse advocates working toward one goal: creating better futures for horses through training.

Through 120 days of training, education and carefully screened adoptions, Heart of the Horse helps create safer, more successful partnerships between horses and the people who will become their forever families.

We are so thankful for our staff, volunteers and sponsors for the Heart of the Horse Expo & Trainers Challenge!  This event has a team of great people and wonderful sponsors who make it happen.   Everything we do is driven by the passion and commitment that we have for the mission behind this great event.  We could not do it without them.  If you are interested in volunteering or learning more about how you can help, please complete our Contact Us Form. We would love to connect with you.

Our mission is to create safer, lasting partnerships between horses and people. Through training and education, we prepare at-risk horses for adoption, help trainers strengthen and showcase their skills, and connect approved adopters with horses suited to their experience, abilities and goals.
