The Phillip Morgan Pony Challenge is sponsored by Southern AgCredit, and named in memory of their former CEO. Phillip Morgan was a staunch supporter of horse rescue and the equine industry. He firmly believed in the importance of encouraging youth participation in all aspects of agricultural, equine and outdoor pursuits because the strength and growth of those lie with the youth that will one day steer the future.
The Pony Challenge, featuring 26 Youth and Open Amateur Trainers, will take the spotlight in the arena on Friday & Saturday, May 15th & 16th, immediately following the Heart of the Horse Trainers Challenge classes.
Many of the ponies are available to approved homes for a set fee. Those adoptions can take place at any time between now and the competition in May, provided the adopter agrees to leave their pony with its trainer until the conclusion of the Pony Challenge.
