PROFESSIONAL DIVISIONN

Prize Money
First: $5,000 | Second: $3,000 | Third: $1,500

Adoption Compensation
Professional trainers receive the first $500 of the adoption fee plus 50% of the remaining amount when their horse is adopted at the Heart of the Horse event. This is in addition to any prize money earned.

If mutually agreed that the horse will remain with the trainer after the event, the same compensation applies when the horse is adopted from the trainer’s facility. If the horse returns to the rescue, the trainer will receive $500 if the horse is adopted within 90 days.

AMATEUR DIVISION

Adoption Compensation

The Amateur Division winner receives the first $500 of the adoption fee plus 50% of the remaining amount when the horse is adopted at the Heart of the Horse event.

All other amateur trainers receive the first $400 of the adoption fee plus 20% of the adoption fee. If the horse returns to the rescue, the trainer will receive $400 if the horse is adopted within 90 days.
