Betsey Munday has owned horses since she was two years old. She began to ride in earnest at age ten. At twelve, Betsey began to take hunter lessons and to show in hunter jumpers. She was a member of the Mississippi Hunter Jumper Association and served as a junior board member. She was a member of the Mississippi State University Hunt Seat Equestrian Team from 2017-2019. She graduated from MSU in 2019 with a bachelor of science degree in animal dairy science, with an emphasis in business and industry. In 2021 she completed an apprenticeship with Michael Gascon, The Horse Guru. Since sixteen, Betsey has worked as a stable hand, barn manager, catch rider, Special Olympics coach, and trainer. Betsey is a colt starter and works with horses with specific needs. Betsey rides in both Western and English tack. Betsey won the overall Professional Division of the 2023 Heart of the Horse Trainer’s Challenge.
Patrick Munday has owned horses since 1998. He has attended numerous trainer clinics and expands his knowledge base by reading literature and viewing videos produced by numerous well-known horse trainers. He is currently affiliated with Doug Mills, founder of Training Through Trust. Patrick specializes in colt starts and working with horses who display problematic behaviors through specific techniques on the ground and under saddle. He also enjoys bridle-less work and liberty with more advanced horses. Patrick offers clinics and lessons using Training Through Trust techniques.
